Oh, yes. I actually do remember watching that originally.
I think it panned out as this:
The programme started out with a booming announcement while the music was playing: "The Six O'Clock News from the BBC with Nicholas Witchell and Sue Lawley", but you saw Witchell on the telephone, then the camera went to Sue by herself, while you could hear those lesbos arguing, with Sue apologising. I think that is what happened - without looking at the URL you applied.

Good excuse for an archive clip.
I liked the way the report from Romilly Weeks on the ITV Evening News was done and then when they went live to Tom Bradby he commented how most people at home would have found the whole thing totally hilarious!
Makes a change from Prince Philip anyway!

I've seen this story develop all day. We were all watching this morning, as we had it on the plasma screen and to begin with thought he was muttering, then he came out with the quite uncalled for attack on Nick. I find it quite hard to believe that Charlie didn't know the mics were listening. One point I found quite interesting watching Sky News was how the Sky Reporter really stuck up for Nick and the beeb, saying how this would promote less "formal" approaches by journalists.
Prince William showed an excellent public face, dispite his hate for the media.
Apparently Nick was upset and taken aback at the comments. I really can't see the Princes logic in attacking one of the royals closest "correspondents" After all Nicks questions were veted by Clarence House and was nothing to "personal" just How are you?
Personally I would have told him where to get off.
Anyway there the wedding to come yet.........

I pretty much have the same opinion of Nick as Prince Charles - but for completely different reasons. I have no time for royal correspondents at all, they're all tedious and fawning, with questions like "How are we feeling today Prince Charles?"
Disaster for the Royal Family, Prince William appeared to be the only one of the three who knew how to handle the media, but how many of the general public care about it? It's another example of the media's obsession with itself. (and being within it, I should know)
