I got fed up of waiting for the parade, but agree with the majority here that Sky seem to have a much better operation - it just looks alot better and slicker.

They did spoil it somewhat by cluttering their screen during the actual ceremony. CNN just had a 'CNN Live' in the bottom right and BBC1 just had 'Live Washington' in the top left, nice and minimalist. Sky had things in 3 corners and a pointless distracting bright yellow ticker advertising their HD service.

An almost flawless simulcast with the 10, and World then. World taking the 10 with Special Inaugural titles..the only error was a very brief glimpse of Fiona Bruce as she introduced the 'also tonight' section, before cutting to Tanya in the World studio.

World's titles didn't get to finish though as Huw took his cue from the Ten titles. I wonder where the News channel will stay. Did World broadcast the 1900GMT edition of WNT or was it BBC Four only?

LOL - I was going to write that, but it was merely 2 seconds...

I thought it was pointless crossing over to John Irvine who was literally on the other side of the White House.

Other than that NaT has been good tonight, it's got to the point and it's not forgot about Gaza and Iran.

CNN: Coverage begins at 2 a.m. with a special edition of "American Morning." Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper anchor reporting of the swearing-in and parade beginning at 7 a.m. Cooper and Campbell Brown host extended editions of their nightly shows from 4 to 9 p.m., followed by a special edition of "Larry King Live."

Fox Business Network: Alexis Glick kicks off coverage at 4 a.m. Neil Cavuto will provide analysis throughout the day and host a special "Cavuto" at 3 p.m. from the parade route.

Fox News Channel: Nonstop coverage from 3 a.m. to 10 p.m. beginning with "Fox & Friends." Bret Baier, Shepard Smith and Chris Wallace take over at 5:30 a.m., followed by coverage of the swearing-in and parade, anchored by Wallace from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Megyn Kelly and Bill Hemmer will report from the balls beginning at 6 p.m.

MSNBC: Twenty-one hours of coverage kick off at 3 a.m. with "Morning Joe" from a Capitol Hill restaurant. Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and Eugene Robinson take over at 7 a.m. Live reporting continues until midnight.

2am - that's 11pm PT. At least let them get to bed first.

Did the news channels seriously start coverage at 2/3am?!

While today is truly historic, I can't imagine that people were actually waking up in the middle of the night especially to watch coverage of the build-up. Was anything actually happening at that time?

EDIT: Just noticed that the above is from the Los Angeles Times, so all times are presumably Pacific. Which means CNN started at 5am ET, and Fox and MSNBC at 6. Which makes much more sense.

Really have enjoyed the complex bringing together of a variety of outputs provided by the BBC. The Six was spot on, Ten very good nonetheless.

There must have been some very sweaty people in gallery!

Bear in mind that LA Times is about 5 hours behind Washington DC so 2am to them would be 6am Washington and 12pm GMT and I can confirm CNN were on air by then.

About 1MB each in PNG format.

Why do these seem pixelated?

I think its to do with PowerDVD which I am using to capture from a recording off my Dreambox. Because the recording is in progress I cannot copy the file over to my PC and then capture in VLC which is better.
