Well Fox were never going to be understated at the bloody Republican Convention were they? They have a massive newscentre called the Fox Experience in a tented area next to the convention centre, and another large studio area directly overlooking the centre. They are using a jib into and out of ads to show off their newstent, so it may be smaller than it looks, but it does look simultaneously very impressive and very unnecessary. They also have Karl Rove as a political analyst.

I was away last week- does anyone know what Fox did for the Dems? I assume not a massive newscentre and a huge song and dance?

Has anyone some pics or videos of FOX News coverage from the RNC?

I read on MG the other day that Obama was going to be interviewd by O'Reilly during McCain's speech. I wonder how that went.

My God, there were some disturbing images few minutes ago on CNN. They showed a women protesting outside of the Convention and the police was spraying water into her face, kicking her on the floor and even pushing bicycles into her. I was just shocked , even Anjali Rao said it looks disturbing.

I guess this is McCain and Palin's America, I'm sick of them especially of her. She is just plain stupid but will be good for getting a lot of votes.

I don't think that would be water!

They do go a bit over the top at times, just think of 'don't taze me bro'

It was announced as Pepper Spray.

Horrible scenes in fact. Around a dozen policemen surrounding a lone female protestor.

Sit down - this may surprise you.
They overtook a top floor of a 24hour restaurant/bar just over the road from the convention centre in Denver.
Two main pres areas/desks, and all the regular programmes each had production areas in the background. Sound levels though were a on-going nightmare with lots of chatter, and clanking plates and glasses from the bar area downstairs.

Given the fact they have spent the past 9 years trying to ignore the democrates, they did a good job covering it, and devoted a large amount of air time from Denver with the only throws to NY/Washington for news bullies and breaking news alerts/non-events.

I know the US presidential candidates are big news, and Sarah Palin is certainly a headline grabber, however it seems at the moment every time I turn onto Fox or CNN US, the US presidential race is on in some shape or form. Has normal news been suspended until November? It certainly seems so if the current coverage is anything to go by! Rolling Eyes Laughing

It;s been like that for a year now, even on CNN International.
