The BBC seem to have branded this US O8

Sky news had a interview with Barack Obama barber, is that the best there can do?

Needless to say, the US news channels are all over this.

MSNBC have replaced their all-day Olympics coverage (yes, they basically took the news operation off the air for a fortnight) with all-day Convention coverage. It's currently streaming live at msnbc.com

If Mc Cain wins the news channel will be all over Him and state will Hillary Clinton

Do you think Sky and BBC are showing each other fair? I think there being more forces on Demarcates, than J McCain. but do outside broadcaster have to be fair?

With the exception of James Carville on CNN - are there any US pundits who actually like (even slightly) Hillary Clinton?

Obama is clearly the candidate and yet they are still battering her. I think they are far too obsessed with the Clintons and the funny thing is that even when she conceded - the US media are still focussing more on Clinton than Obama...what a joke!

I do not think they will ever have a love in - but I doubt Hillary hates Barack.

More4 stated this week they aim to be the channel to go to for coverage of the US Election, which includes the UK screenings of the debates between the candidates.

Who has screened the debates in the past then - I'd have assumed they were just played out on the news channels?

It is very strange how the Democrats seem to be getting way more attention than the Republicans - especially seeing as they are pretty even in the polls. I'm only a casual observer, yet I know far more about Obama than I do McCain.

You sure do and you definately know more about how much the Clintons are losers - thanks to Carl Bernstein.
It will be interesting to see if the hype around this 'war' between the Clintons and Obamas will make the media focus on the Democrats and McCain and the Republicans who like stirring may score an own goal with this - as the Dems will get more attention...negative attention may be better than no attention at all with this election?

Obama is arguably the more interesting candidate and the democratic primary race went on longer (in fact with Hilary still on the scene it still is kind of) and was the more interesting of the 2.

Also I think Obama just makes better TV then Mccain

Because it's not a domestic election, there aren't rules on coverage - very few viewers of ITN, the domestic BBC programmes or Sky can vote in the election. The 'foreign' channels will just go where the most interesting story is.

However, no TV station wouldn't blatantly supporting one candidate as their reputation would suffer

Assuming that The Daily Show do a live election special this year it would be great if More 4 carried that
