As seen as someone requested a Catchphrase Thread for news related presenters I thought I might as well start one.

Gillian Joseph on the Breakfast News Summaries seems to always say: 'Thank you good morning and good morning to you at home' whenever she is crossed over to.

Not really a catchphrase but Louise Minchin always reminds us that 'this is BBC News 24'. I remember she said it almost continuosly in about twenty minutes during coverage of the Pope's death.

Daniel Corbett always says at the end of his forecast 'And that's the weather for now' which is probably my favourite catchphrase.

I'm sure there's many other catchphrases - what other catchphrases have people noticed?

My personally favourite "catch phrase" is Ashley Blakes closing lines on Friday nights Midlands Today.
He always waves to the camera while saying " You 'ave yourself a very good weekend, Good night! "

That and Eddie Mair throughout PM.... Need I say anymore...

Joel.

George Alagiah and Sophie Raworth ALWAYS start the Six O'clock News with:

"Hello and welcome to the Six o'clock News, first tonight..."

Peter Sissons - "first, we're going to get a summary of the news"
(he always says this when presenting News 24)

Eamonn Holmes used to always say on GMTV, "good morning Britain, you're waking up to GMTV Today!"

Daniel Corbett always goes

"That's the weather" (pointing at camera) "for now". Oh So Elvis...

That *is* a catchphrase, the rest of them are stock phrases written on the autocue
