From Digtal Spy, for Friday:

Coverage of the Pope's fading health drew large audiences to the news channels all day long, with BBC News 24 coming out mostly on top. It managed a peak of 218,000 (1.5%) for its 10pm bulletin, while Sky News reached a high of 173,000 (1.2%) an hour earlier.

Sky would have probably held on to more viewers if it weren't for the annoying beeping noise that was going on in the background over most of the coverage from Rome (which I'm surprised no-one here has mentioned... and it definitely wasn't my telly).

How will BBC News cover the funeral?

Will Breakfast end at 8.30, with a BBC News Special following - does anyone know?

I think that would be the most logical solution. I wonder who's going to be commentating? Confused

My money is on Jeremy Beadle. Remember him? Actually, I doubt you would seeing as you were only born in 1996. Rolling Eyes

.................. and you have the cheek to accuse me of ''trawling through the archive like some demented mole'' and writing pointless comments. ''Go away you sad, smelly and extremely anoying cretin!''

Also, please learn how to spell before you start insulting me, i.e. the word ''annoying'' is spelt ''A.N.N.O.Y.I.N.G'' not ''A.N.O.Y.I.N.G.''

.............. and you also have the cheek to assume I was ''born in 1996'' when you have the spelling ability of someone who was born in 2001.

If you're going to insult me, please do it properly. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

There's really altogether too much eye rolling going on here.

If the wind changes you'll be stuck like that.

They might just continue Breakfast all though I doubt you can call ten o' clock (or even later depending on when it finishes) Breakfast.

I wonder what will happen on ITV1, what with part of the funeral falling in GMTV hours. May we see John Stapleton fronting the coverage
