I note ITV1 have gone for an ad break but as of yet no news report.

You missed it then, it was straight after the programme.

Yeah Steve Scott swapped with Chris Rogers on the News Channel. On itv1 they flashed up a silent ITV NEWS REPORT title.

Did BBC1 put a caption up during Casulaty like they did on other BBC Channels?

BBC1 back with a special update at 9:40. Can anyone confirm how long this will be?
Total programme length will almost certainly be 50 minutes.
OuttakeTV was scheduled for 21:40, and that's 30 minutes long.
BBC News was scheduled immediatley after anyway, so they'll just carry on at 22:00.

No, no indication during Casualty about the Pope's death. Just after.

Fox News as usual have gone for over the top graphics that look more like the logo to a light hearted family comedy film:

Goodness me yes, I was about to mention that -- how vile.

I notice also that C4 seem to be the only terrestrial broadcaster not to mention it during their next available junction -- S4C are currently showing a obituary in a special bulletin with Garry.

And they seem to have replaced the next programme with a Pope thingyo special.

I sincerely do not want to sound flippant about the death of the Pope, but does anyone have captures of how the news was announced on the news channels, and how it was broken on the main terrestrial channels.

They waited until Casualty finished at 21:10 then flashed up the report graphic immediatley after the credits finished rolling.

I'll have News 24's breaking of the news ready by about 22:00

Very convienant that they've scheduled a droppable filler programme tonight, any other week and they would have had a film or drama on at that point.

So who actually announced it on the ITV News Channel, Chris Rogers?

No, Steve Scott.

It has. Five News were first at around 9pm and then BBC1 had a news report at 9.10pm. I think ITV had a report at about 9.15pm.

I thought he stopped doing that on-air months ago?
