Hazzamon, I am disgusted by that 'Final Countdown' post. The Pope is a great leader and has sacrificed his life to be one of the greatest leaders of the 20 and 21st centuries. Please do not post things like that. I am a Catholic and not looking forward to the announcement of the Pope's death. That is very hurtful and could insult many Catholics like myself. Please show some respect.

Not to condone Hazzamon's post, I only think it was supposed to be light humour. However, I a christian, do feel that others will take offense and I only ask that people refrain from posting things like that and to save it for themselves.

Definitely Deano. I'm not religous but do consider the Pope to be one of the world's greatest leaders. The least we can do is let him see out his final hours with dignity. Frivolity is perhaps best kept to one's self on these occasions.

Any news on the next Vatican statment? It was ment to be "imminant"

Currently BBC1 and News 24 are simultcasting, with News 24 taking the feed from BBC1. Anyone think BBC National news need to tweak their astons to fit in more with News 24?
