For some reason Anna Ford just didn't appeal on One O' Clock today - she can across as a bit dismissive or something on the issue.
With someone like Huw or the two Peters you'd get a bit of humanity coming through.

I thought she could've broken down the official old self for once. Just didn't appeal the way she delivered the story - a bit curt and statement-of-factish.
And I like her - professionalism doesn't mean you must always hold a stiff upper lip.

Not last night they weren't - took them ages to get going. When the last rites were administered they reported it TEN (yes, TEN) minutes after CNN and Newsnight.

Hardly 'fastest off the mark again', is it?

I didn't mean in terms of news content, purely the speed in which they get personnel to the scene.

Even from that point-of-view, I disagree. Jeremy Bowen was in Rome last night, Sky was sharing a reporter and sat time.
