Can I ask what is the backdrop used on the main part of the Politics Show? Are the buildings part of the BBC? They are awful, it was much better when we had London used in the backdrop, like on Sunday AM.

It's the Broadcast centre in White City (just up the road from TV Centre).

They are BBC buildings - on the White City rather than TV Centre site.

They ditched the London backdrop to make it seem less London-centric, and tie in with the idea of trying to get away from Westminster politics a bit - and now Sunday AM also have a London backdrop it would seem a bit similar wouldn't it?

Hmmm, fair enough but the London backdrop did look better.
