Im paraphrasing here but form the presenter changes thread, there is some specualtion that Phil walked for a while before having his contract *altered* and thus returning to News24. Nobody now seems to be missing from the line-up now.

Phillip Hayton has not been dropped to the weekends. He has always done either a saturday or sunday ever since he started presenting on the channel.

Phil has always done the 1300-1500 on Sundays. I expect to see him back on seat at 0900 tomorrow.

He also used to do 13:00-19:00 on saturday afternoons for a long time before he switched to sundays.

Yeah, from memory, that coincided with Peter Sissons' arrival at the channel. David, do you remember when Sunday afternoons used to be shared by Brenda Paterson and Peter Coe? That must be a good few years ago now.
