So, it has been confirmed that a senior newsreader has walked from News 24, and Phillip Hayton hasn't appeared since the news was announced.

But does anybody actually have any confirmation about whether he has actually gone?

Because it's not really their place to splash around the details of private affairs between workers and their employers.

Well someone started the rumour in the first place - you could say that's not their place either! They could do the decent thing and confirm or deny and that'll put an end to the speculation. I'd also question whether the presenter line-up of a BBC channel is a private matter.

Why would Phil of left anyway? Is it due to the presenter changes?

But to pinpoint names is an invasion of privacy. I'm not talking about a presenter line-up. This matter is between the presenter and their employers, not every Tom, Dick and Harry.

As narrated on another thread, it's sad to hear that Phillip has left the BBC. I hope he turns up soon , somewhere else on another news channel.

He is an excellent presenter.

The BBC should have given MISERABLE McCOY his marching orders instead. The man is the most depressing person at the Beeb. Also, he should do something about his weight too.
