The Express had a two page spread on this yesterday. I would like to highlight I Do Not and Never Have Read Desmond's News It was merly wide open in Starbucks and asking to be nosed at.

Anyway made quite interesting reading, forget the reporters name but it seems to imply that Hayton stormed off air and screamed "It's Me or Her"...

Come to think about it, She does look rather like our wonderful *Tash* doesn't she.

P.S. I plead someone, anyone, Keep Big Al where is he. Great seeing during Daylight hours.

I couldn't believe the programme that was aired on ONE last night, which was introduced by the CA as an evening with "Natasha and Friends.................". Then she appeared - Natasha Kaplinsky along with Andy Williams, Tony Christe, Michael Buble, Jamie Cullam and...........Natasha Kaplinsky again.

And it got me thinking - never, in the history of BBC News, was there ever anyone who was alegedly a serious news presenter, who ever got the chance to indulge so frequently into light entertainment, as our Tash now does.

OK - Lawley did Wogan and Jill Dando (RIP) did various other "lighter" programmes. But none of them (or others) was regularly treated as a variety presenter..............

Back on topic - good to see Mr. Yates on N24 today. He is good, isn't he?

Yes he really is a very good news presenter, Alistair and Adrian, both top quality news presenters with great broadcasting voices.

Full page today about Kave Silverton being called the "Kaplinsky Klone" in todays Mirror. Talks about that BBC bosses find the 35 year-old Essex girl Very Happy much more smarter than Kaplinsky! Dam right!

It's a shame that TV News journalists these days are making the headlines than actually reading them. And to be honest, I was surprised that Hayton quitting News 24 actually made the news headlines - gossip factor aside, he was hardly watched day in, day out by everyone. Most people, to be honest, would have forgotten about him.
