LOL, are you approving of my editing skills?
It’s a short programme these days, isn’t it?

I believe the ratings are not dissimilar to the Sunday repeat.
But with this kind of show, ratings aren’t what’s most important. The Sunday morning slot provides agenda-setting interviews from which clips are run on both BBC and ITV’s news bulletins that day, which are often the highest rating of the week. This meant that ITV was gaining at least some credibility in the political news market.
I’ve yet to see the Wednesday evening programme set any form of agenda, or have any clips of its interviews on news bulletins.
How is it rating in it's new slot compared to the Sunday live and repeat airings?

Exactly, and moving from Sunday only serves to strengthen Marr. Even if they were getting thrashed at least being on Sundays meant some competition for guests, so making things slightly tougher for the BBC. Indeed now Marr has gone to 10am I wonder how Peston would fair at 9am (though it would mean crossing that 9.25 divide).

Broadcasters and audiences. Competition drives better content.

That theme is terrible!!! Those horns ruin it. I don’t get this with sitting duck... some of their work is absolutely amazing like GMB and then they do something like this or the

I think it reflects the new time of the broadcast quite well. The subject matter and format may be the same, but the audience is now late night, and doesn't necessarily want to be met with loud drums or other bombastic sounds.
The general tone of the remix is more relaxed, while still having recognisable elements of the original.

Too true. It being let to plod along on it's own with no competition on a Wednesday night means it had very little scope or ambition to develop.
It also doesn't help having a big half hour news bulletin being directly before it now. Also said news bulletin also recaps what happened on the show with its presenter, before the show has even broadcast, which is quite a spoiler.
If ITV were really committed to this, they'd show it as live at 8pm so that it could be recapped on News at Ten later. But they're not.
They should have kept it at Sunday Mornings IMO to be part of its rival's blocks of programming and strive to get the headline interview. Now I barely watch it as most of the topics of conversation were already highlighted on News at Ten just minutes earlier.
