I thought Allegra was doing pretty well, considering the touchscreen can be quite difficult to use. I do agree with others that the role seems a little redundant though.
Not really. I just don't see the fascination that others do. But I'm sorry if I have offended anyone this morning and I'll duck out of this thread now.
I don't think you've offended anyone but I think you have mistaken the levels of obsession and banality that the Good Morning Britain thread goes to, with the launch of a new programme on a TV presentation forum
We always have people talking about the little intricacies of the set or the graphics when a new programme launches, such as the DOG. Look back at the relaunches or launches of shows like Breakfast, Daybreak, Andrew Marr, Good Morning Britain, Victoria Derbyshire… I just think it's unfair to tar all of us with the same brush.

Yes, it was an unreasonable observation. Apologies.
Think Allegra is a good addition. She's got bags of personality and doesn't ever seem massively phased by being on the telly. She's confident and natural.
I'm a fan of Robert, and think he's doing a great job. I think as a pairing they are both doing a grand job. It's a great addition to the weekend.
I watched the first 15 mins on ITV+1 and it's not bad. The interview with the Chancellor was good, my own niggle if any was when Robert moved from his two initial guests after Esther finished and just went straight over to the desk to interview George Osborne.

I was unsure at first having Allegra and a social media screen but it has worked very well, so I admit I was wrong. I could almost imagine Allegra having a glass of wine in one hand and a fag in another while operating that screen - smooth.
