Going back to House's comments. You have a situation where ITV have a brand template and also need to find their niche against Andrew Marr and Sunday Politics.

Peston on Sunday is at least 3/4 of the way there and unlike other poor attempts by ITV at live Sunday morning tv, this is at least heading in the right direction.

The low audience share shouldn't be an issue if it's seen that ITV are producing 'worthy tv' and attracting the right type of guest. Global's LBC enables the company to have influential politicians within easy reach both on and off-air. Peston and Stratton are key to ITV's future as a company with those type of contacts.
cityprod, Stuart and Nicky gave kudos

Looks like Alegra had to take it to a whole new level , by giving the TV a physical label!?

Minor changes to the set, the coffee machine and the cafetiere have been removed, along with the mugs and jars. Replaced with more books and other less cooking show like clutter.

I made a point on here this time last week about how there would be scrupulous attention paid to every single tweak / aspect of Robert Peston's new show, in the same vein as GMB. (I was shouted down for it, but I was expecting that.)

Nothing wrong with that but the point was made that the same level of interest exists for any new launch in a similar vein. Meanwhile, the BBC launches a new weekly Saturday afternoon current affairs show with rising star Emily Maitlis and not a single mention on the forum.

It's not just about the jars with 'COFFEE' written on them being moved, it's the point that the set designers have noticed some criticism with the set being too light, and have changed things accordingly. Apologies if my post wasn't explicit enough for you.

Have they been reading this thread? The guest chair is now positioned so the guest isn't twisting to look at Peston and the set has been tweaked so it's less GMB on Sunday.

Are you sure? The chair position looks the same to me.

How do you mean about changes to the desk, I see no difference?

So the set is exactly where the Loose Women set is. Must seem like a pain to dismantle the LW set, put up the Peston set, then put down the Peston set after three hours, then put the LW set back up.

I think Lorraine shares that studio as well, so that's not the only set change that studio sees!

That's correct Critique, I guess the Lorraine one will be dismantled as soon as she finishes.
