Jeremy Paxman will remain host as University Challenge. My thoughts are that his political TV career is over.
Yes, he hates the BBC, but he still enjoys University Challenge so he'll be stuck there till retirement probably.

Why do your posts always state the fairly obvious?

Yes, he hates the BBC.

Has he ever said that he hates the BBC?

I know that he hates the BBC mis-management structure and has been critical of it in its two darkest hours (The aftermath of the Hutton Report - not its fault and The Savile Scandal - Mainly the BBC's fault) but then to be honest the BBC were pretty messy in those two events.

Yes they do. "He enjoys University Challenge, so will probably be stuck there till retirement" of course not the whole post does.

It's not obvious that he hates the BBC of course he doesn't think the corporation is perfect but that's a different thing entirely. There is nothing to suggest he won't get bored of University Challenge at some point before he decides to give up broadcasting. I'd also be a little surprised if he didn't present political programmes again.

So he's not stated the obvious he's made a lot of ill thought out assumptions in his trademark clumsy and immature manner.

I did say not the whole post.

Is Jeremy Paxman set to become Britain's Jon Stewart?

The Daily Show and John Oliver's HBO gig prove that politics coverage benefits from a humorous touch. Now the Newsnight host looks set to explore a career in comedy
