You shouldn't eat dairy products. In the course of evolutionary history, the human digestive system isn't adapted to properly cope with dairy products seeing as cows/goats were only domesticated around 5000 years ago.
During this time, wouldn't the Darwinian theory about natural selection/evolution have produced dairy product-tolerant digestive systems in humans, though?
I believe Darwin's study into finches of the Galapagos Islands showed that species adapt to their surroundings.....
Can I borrow a National Geographic magazine of yours to read more on this subject Katherine?

Not in the relatively short time period of 5000 years I would have thought.
Perhaps Paul Hudson could tell us? What's his secret username here again? Someone told me but I've since forgotten.

You might want to get a copy of 'What the Victorians Did For Us', by Adam Hart Davis, and read pages 54 to 59....
the falsehood of a certain malicious bonehead on here that has caused me a lot of un-necessary anxiety, panic and depression I felt when I read the totally UNTRUE story
That is YOUR problem to deal with, not other members of this forum.
It's obsessional and frankly inexcusable- anxiety, panic and depression because a weatherman is leaving?
Get a grip woman.
I believe Katherine has Asperger's Syndrome, which means that something like this - that she takes a strong interest in - is a pretty huge deal for her. Obviously not everyone was aware of this; one would hope that people would be slightly more tolerant of her obsessive behaviour in this light.
As an aspie myself i can back-up what LDN's saying.
Asperger Syndrome or (Asperger's Disorder) is a neurobiological disorder named for a Viennese physician, Hans Asperger, who in 1944 published a paper which described a pattern of behaviors in several young boys who had normal intelligence and language development, but who also exhibited autistic-like behaviors and marked deficiencies in social and communication skills. In spite of the publication of his paper in the 1940's, it wasn't until 1994 that Asperger Syndrome was added to the DSM IV and only in the past few years has AS been recognized by professionals and parents.
Individuals with AS can exhibit a variety of characteristics and the disorder can range from mild to severe. Persons with AS show marked deficiencies in social skills, have difficulties with transitions or changes and prefer sameness. They often have obsessive routines and may be preoccupied with a particular subject of interest. They have a great deal of difficulty reading nonverbal cues (body language) and very often the individual with AS has difficulty determining proper body space. Often overly sensitive to sounds, tastes, smells, and sights, the person with AS may prefer soft clothing, certain foods, and be bothered by sounds or lights no one else seems to hear or see. It's important to remember that the person with AS perceives the world very differently. Therefore, many behaviors that seem odd or unusual are due to those neurological differences and not the result of intentional rudeness or bad behavior, and most certainly not the result of "improper parenting".
By definition, those with AS have a normal IQ and many individuals (although not all), exhibit exceptional skill or talent in a specific area. Because of their high degree of functionality and their naiveté, those with AS are often viewed as eccentric or odd and can easily become victims of teasing and bullying. While language development seems, on the surface, normal, individuals with AS often have deficits in pragmatics and prosody. Vocabularies may be extraordinarily rich and some children sound like "little professors." However, persons with AS can be extremely literal and have difficulty using language in a social context.
At this time there is a great deal of debate as to exactly where AS fits. It is presently described as an autism spectrum disorder and Uta Frith, in her book AUTISM AND ASPERGER'S SYNDROME, described AS individuals as "having a dash of Autism". Some professionals feel that AS is the same as High Functioning Autism, while others feel that it is better described as a Nonverbal Learning Disability. AS shares many of the characteristics of PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder; Not otherwise specified), HFA, and NLD and because it was virtually unknown until a few years ago, many individuals either received an incorrect diagnosis or remained undiagnosed. For example, it is not at all uncommon for a child who was initially diagnosed with ADD or ADHD be re-diagnosed with AS. In addition, some individuals who were originally diagnosed with HFA or PDD-NOS are now being given the AS diagnosis and many individuals have a dual diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism.
The treatment of Katherine by some of the members (TVmercia, etc.) is Childish and Immature
Flame bating is something that on the forum I moderate would lead to a Suspension and or PermaBan.
The poeple that are flaimbating just need to grow up!
Well considering this part of the TVFORUM is for discussing the presentation of news I am alarmed that not one of the mods has closed this thread yet...........Perhaps it's being left active for entertainment reasons.
Either way, Katherine I feel you have totally over-reacted and have opened yourself up to mass ridicule. You have come across as somewhat obsessed with Mr Hudson, something which although percieved as humerous on here, can be interpretted as 'concerning' to the outside. Say for example the lovely Mr Hudson was to disappear, or was to get shot (like the late Jill Dando), eyes would immediately point to the sicofans of this world. I don't know you personally, and am only going on what I'm reading on this forum, but it does read like this. Your comments on here really do suggest you are obsessed with this fellow. It is beyond belief that you fired off emails to every presenter at Look North, imagine what people mut think of you in that Newsroom, assuming they are aware of what has gone on here. Imagine what questions you'll be asked if you are ever selected for interview at Look North. In my book, you've hardly made yourself a suitable candidate. To further add, you have suffered from depression, anxiety and so on would worry me if I knew you.
Seriously, if you know people wind you up on here, ignore it. Like you said, certain people seem to get off on goading you into discussion. Don't go there, stay away and laugh at it. Anyway, after this episode I am sure you've learnt your lesson.

Here's a bit more of an explination about AS;

Well for a start we've been given both the beginners guide to Aspergers before, as well as much fuller descriptions from Kat.
Are you suggesting this must be taken into account by all other forum users each time they post? Where is the equality in that? I'm afraid that just as you are entitled to make comments and statement I don't agree with then so should we be.
What is it with aspergers sufferers and the desire to BAN people?
