I have subsequently learned that the reference was to an earlier incident and another ex-member, so it would seem the function existed at some point. But that's hardly the point.

Katherine, I may agree and be interested in things you say, or I may not. In no event however would I demand (and you DO demand) that you be removed from the forum. How many times have you quoted the rules and called for a ban when you cross words with someone? I've lost count.

If nothing else, threads like this put pressure on the moderators to mollify you, especially when your private correspondence exhibits anxiety and upset. I'm sorry to say it again so bluntly, but YOUR anxiety is not OUR anxiety, so its unfair to expect others to feel it as you do.

This 'Phil' character has been here in different guises (Phil Towers, I believe his name was/is) before and has been banned because of incidents I had no part in.

What I object to is people on here who wind me up simply because I am easy prey they can tease/bully/cajole/provoke. People do it all the time, goading me into a response (especially if it's related to Look North) by saying things like 'I wonder what Katherine would say? How is Katherine going to react? We need Katherine in here. It's provocation like that I cannot stand. People on here do it, they know they do, they can't resist and they get away with it time and time again. Their behaviour is as equally disgusting as mine can be. I have had more than my fill with people like that on here. I have more scant ability in resisting rising to the bait of others. therefore, their obvious delight in continuing to do so is sick to the point of repulsive. Maybe they should show how hard they are to prove their 'manhood' and pick someone of equal or better ability rather than me?

There is a particular incomprehensible clique that think they own this place simply because of the 'TV Forum Watch' graphics they have as signatures. Unappointed, unauthorised and unelected. That is not fair, undemocratic and frankly, stupid. They twitch the net curtains of some, but burn down the houses of people they take a dislike to because they post topics that to them are silly. They also give some newbies a terribly unwarranted hostile reception in here that is undeserved. A mature response is with-held for a sarcastic put-down of which Anne robinson would be so proud. If sorted at Hogwarts, these Forum Watch people would be Slytherins in the Draco Malfoy mode and no mistake. It's also how I view them in my mind. They have as little tolerance as I do sometimes. Some of my MSN contacts agree with this wholeheartedly too. I am not the only 'bully boy' in this place and I think the majority know this only too well. Only I haven't got Crabbe and Goyle-esque stooges to protect me as 'Yes Men'. In that way I am more courageous and steadfast (I have to be) than any TV Forum Watch member on here, solo or combined.

If this place is for 'all of us', TV Forum Watch have a funny way of showing it themselves with such weird and incomprehensible humour. If I went to Metropol with this, I'd receive double the nonsense I get, and probably be hit down AGAIN. Well done BBC LDN for highlighting most of the reasoning behind my extreme behaviours. Only I'm not allowed to mention it on here because if I do, whoops, it's fatwa time and I'm shouted down. Fire and Brimstone over here, guys!

As many people know, my ex-girlfriend of many years was a Lancashire lass. Her eldest brother, who I got on very well with works for ITV plc/Granada (whatever it's called now).

He has said that there are many new faces going to be appearing on the local news programmes in the next 6 months because they want to establish a very early lead before the Beeb's move to Manchester.

I haven't heard Hudson's name specifically, but it does fit in rather conveniently with the planned shake-up.
