Paul Hudson - The OFFICIAL LINE.

Sitting here with a VERY relieved, smug grin at the moment! ****-stirrers of the forum take note....

I have received an e-mail from Paul Hudson just now, which totally scotches the falsehood of a certain malicious bonehead on here that has caused me a lot of un-necessary anxiety, panic and depression I felt when I read the totally UNTRUE story about Paul moving to the Granada Media Group. His e-mail reads thus. God, I'm enjoying this.....



Now then, I presume that the perpetrator of this would now like to apologise? Remember this: with my connections to Look North, I can EASILY check the authenticity of ANY rumour you put out. I can check, AND I ALWAYS DO. It is therefore pointless and futile to try and wind me up on here. So in the future, don't even try it.

Now then, what was it I said about bans if the story was found to be false, hmm?

Bloody hell Katherine. I think you're taking this a little too far. At the end of the day, take things with a pich of salt. If someone says that he's leaving, by all means check it, but not by firing off an e-mail to every presenter there as you stated you'd done in your other post. One e-mail directly to Paul would have sufficed, and yes, I note you did that too and he replied. A simple post stating he's not leaving would have sufficed too, not the am-dram stuff you've just put up there. It's been over 2 years since I last frequented this forum, and I see things never change. I wonder what you'll do if he does ever leave the BBC and / or retire? If you're this panic'ed about the prospect of him going to another station, then I would hate to see you when it does actually happen.

My advice to you, is to try to take life a little more calmly - It helps in the long run

I think Katherine is probably the laughing stock of the Look North office. We used to get weirdos constantly emailing us and wanting to visit the radio stations I worked at, and they would be laughed at! lol

Sounds like a bit of an over the top denial. Maybe Mr Hudson is trying to cover up any possible career move until it's officially revealed.

This is a little harsh. Nowt wrong with being fanatic about something, people get just as passionate about footy teams. I don't know Katherine, but from reading her posts she isn't a weirdo, just a big fan. And why not?

yes, i would imagine his move would be properly "news-managed" after the fiasco of fosperos departure. the last thing they want to do is let the viewers know there is a state of panic at bbc north.

This thread is SO over the top, i dont see why this could not have been posted in the Paul Hudson thread.

yes, perhaps katherine should be given a formal warning.

Maybe someone should buy the Sheffield Star and check whether there are any "comments or corrections" related to this topic?

if thats not censorship i dont know what is. people are posting in good faith about a subject, and yet what people can say is being censored incase it upsets a certain member.

The 'Fospero fiasco' was the BBC's own doing. They tell people to leave immediately when they ask to hand their notice in. It took me a few days to catch up with the exact story, but you will even notice the press release says she's leaving, not she's left. She is currently working her notice, but will not be required to do anything in that time...
IF Paul Hudson says he's planning on leaving he'll be off air just as quick. No panicing, no flapping, we have a very good, competant team, and although people leaving is disapointing when a show works well, it's also a fact of life, no-one is irreplacable!
