Perhaps an apology to Phil would be in order. From what I read earlier, you were planning to have him banned.

It looks as though I'll have to change my username to Duncan Wood's underpants, after all. Crying or Very sad

Risky career move if true, Regional Weather on ITV is a target that stands right out for the next round of Charles Allen's cuts. It would be cheaper to do all the weather for all (or most) of the regions at ITN, then send them down to the relevant TX centre to be transmitted. The current National Weather team, with a couple of new additions, could handle that fine.

In the past, he's said a lot of bad and hurtful things about Paul (Gay Jew etc...) that he's never apologised for, so why should I bother? I'm still owed.

So being a gay Jew is a "bad and hurtful" thing now is it?

I find that VERY offensive being a gay jew myself.

I never expected YOU Katherine would say bad and hurtful things about me.

Do I take it you've had confirmation then Katherine?

Well, the first seeds of suspicion sown when I e-mailed Harry Gration to see if these rumours were true, but he said he's been told not to say anything about it. I e-mailed another person about it and he simply said 'I think you'll be shocked'. Also, when I told my dad about what Harry had said, dad said that was a bad omen. I've pretty much accepted it now.

Still don't believe it. Surely if he was leaving he would have been removed immediately. Considering he was on Friday's Look North bantering as ever it still seems far fetched. Plus if it is true, why would it be only in the Sheffield Star but not Bradford's Telegraph & Argus or the Yorkshire (Evening) Post

I agree. Jon, Jo, Kerrie, Debbie and Steve can already do the weather, so how many more do they need? Also who would be main man, Jon or Paul? It doesn't make any sense at all. Perhaps Paul is going, but surely not to YTV?

If the team is that large i dont see why each region cant have its own dedicated weather presenter 5 days per week?

Probably because they are all well liked across each region, there would be an uproar from Jo Blythe fans if she only did Granada for example.

I guess, but I do think its better though when the presenter is in the studio. I like the Tyne Tees set up with the Weather Village.

Perhaps he's on a promise of a move down to London if/when a single national team comes about.

That could have been the temptation that helped instigate the move.

Do weather forecasters actually work for the tv company they work at or are they employed by the Met Office?
