this is a live feed of the process of construction of the BEEBs new hq which is beside the Glasgow IMAX and Science Centre and Beat106 radio station on the banks of the clyde. The BBC will move in 1st in a year or two, then Scottish TV will also join them in the same building. By the looks of it construction is nearly complete....

That's been there for a while now - obviously when the camera was no longer needed to look at the Glasgow skyline for Reporting Scotland, they just turned it round a bit..

As I understand it, Scottish TV are getting their own building, by the way.

I was at the building a few weeks ago and it looked far from complete. Basically all I saw was a hollow concrete shell with no walls. On the outside it looked like they had been trialing the paneling that was to go on the building as only a tiny section had been put on. I took some pictures with my phone I'll see if I can get them online and re-edit this post.

Another thing it is not as big as it actually looks. I imagined I was going to see this huge monsterous building but it's not really. It does look big but it's not huge.

You mean the broom cupboard inside the BBC building?

They're getting the outhouse!

Actually Scottish TV will be moving over to Pacific Quay in September 2006. Their building, which wil be completed in less than a years time, is on the other side of the Beat 106 building beside the South Rotunda and the site of what will be the new road bridge.
BBC Scotland is due to move into their new building after that in 2007.
