No, there is normally the usual opt outs on BH days. They had them on the easter weekend and on the wedding day.

And rightly so. This morning has been BBC News at its worst, about three minutes worth of actual information repeated ad infinitum, with 20 seconds worth of random images (a plane, a truck, and a burning building) on a loop. Yes, a very significant story but in the hour I watched 07:30 to 08:30, nothing else other than the national weather.

Wonder if some news staff who would usually be off today have been called in to work because of the news.
Reminds me of when the Queen Mother died on the Easter weekend in 2002 when newsrooms would have only had skeleton staff in.
