I did say that was understadable that she cried. But my question is, why did it have to be on camera?

And please don't accuse me of heartlessness, my own ancestors were also persecuted under Nazi rule.

Because the producer wanted to show the emotion of the person who has just reliased what happened to relatives you f****** heartless tosser.

The poster does have a point in that Natasha and Kate may be intentionally exploiting their feelings for their own personal gain. It's commonly done, let's be fair.

The two presenters seem to have an obsession with the public wanting to know more about their personal lives.

Yes we have heard what they have for breakfast, where they live, what they like doing on a saturday night, who they are dating haven't we!
They are just making programmes for the BBC, in their role as PRESENTERS. I'm interested to know if you complained about Emily Maitlis showing a bit of leg Jonathan? or is just these two ladies you have something against.

If you can back that statement up then I might consider it fair. Feel up to giving us a couple of examples?

This thread is a disgrace. It has been started by a mysoginist with a chip on his shoulder, inexplicably, about these two individuals and I don't think there is a place for it on this forum.

At least there shouldn't be.

Perhaps I worded it wrong. I originally wanted it to be dedicated to just Kate Silverton, in regards to her film last week about conquering her fear of open water. But I saw Natasha in the RT and saw the link, and I do feel at least Kate exploits her own feelings for the sake of making good television.

There would have been a camera crew waiting on shore - you don't just put your feelings on for camera. I've experienced a similar situation in the sea however it was unexpected and felt the same emoticon. I'm sure most people would not want to appear crying on camera..

Then where was the ''stop filming?'' At least Moira left the room when she learnt of her links to such horrific events in history. Kate simply flapped around and whined.

I don't have any rancour towards these two women, only disbelief and confusion as to why they feel they need to show us more to them. They're not the news, they're paid to deliver it.

But IMO it's very brave for someone to appear in such an emotional state on camera. It was pretty obvious she wasn't acting.

My point is not that she is acting, but rather using her emotions, which as you say were genuine, in order to enhance the programme.

Within news bulletins, certainly. However, these shows are not news bulletins...
