If you subscribe to certain IPTV services, you can get higher resolution of some channels. i>TELE for example is 720p HD for some IPTV subscribers in France and Switzerland, while it's SD to linear viewers.

I don't have Sky or Virgin, so the only way I have CNNi is through my Zattoo CH subscription. Same for CNBC and BBC World News.
