To be fair, you'd need to be in your mid-20s to know about it, and there's a fair number of young 'uns (myself included) who'll have only seen it on clip shows for its skateboarding ducks, etc.
thanks.. if they brought this back I take it each regional opt would have to get new titles / name / set etc to be part of the 'nationwide' brand and not regional news programmes in their own right.. how did this work when it was originally on air?.

I wouldn't have thought so at first, it's only supposed to be a four-week pilot. I guess the changes would happen if it went to a full series. I suppose this explains the half hour gap in the new N24 schedules and
possibly
why they said that Kaplinsky is
currently
on the Six (after all, it says they want a Natasha Kaplinsky-style presenter).
The regional programmes all had their own identities in the 1970s/80s. In fact some of the Nationwide national titles featured the names of the regional programmes.
