Well there was a very noticeable opt point there at 8.26am, but Gavin Grey used 'This is BBC News' to lead into it. So it might have been as much for World as for the regions. What is World doing at the moment?
That was for BBC World News to link into the weather forecast.

Are they leaving opt points for regions which have been able to get a regional bulletin together to opt in and out or are they just cancelled across the board? I'd have thought most of today's bulletins will have been largely prepared yesterday bar anything which has happened overnight, and as Breakfast bullies are usually just done by two people they should be far less affected than the 6.30 or lunchtime.

So World are now simulcasting then? Presumably because Martine Dennis's shift finished at 8am as usual?

All the opts have been missing. Breakfast and Gavin Grey have continued through 9am but I imagine they'll stop at 9:15am - as the headlines were much shorter and Gavin mentioned nothing about sport and weather.
9am regional opt out also missing, well at least in BBC South region.

I think we may have simulcast for one segment only, being the 8am TOTH London time. However, at 9am, we now have Adnan Nawaz reading the news on World. Wonder why we had the single simulcast segment?
Anyway, apart from that, to the regular World viewer, no one would notice much of a difference so far today. Will be interesting so see what happens with GMT, Impact, The Hub and Zeinab later on though.

She's not that bad. Come on. On a day of industrial action, surely a few hours of Sue Thearle or anyone else is better than testcard?
What a shame - I thought they were doing quite well, and now she's on. Let's hope she doesn't do a Maxine and stay there for 6 hours.
