On the subject of UTV presenters, I'm surprised no one has noticed that Tina Campbell can now be found reading the news on BBC Radio Ulster...
Does anyone know if she's gone freelance or if she has moved on from Havelock House? A sad loss if the latter's the case.

Just watched 'UTV Live' and I must say the programme looks very out dated! The graphics, music, studio and titles look like something I would watch maybe 6-7 years ago. Also, the astons are massive, they look stupid!
I've not realised how many shifts have been taking place at BBC Newsline - Julian O'Neill is now the Business Correspondent, David Maxwell has been dispatched to the North Coast and Natasha Sayee is now working as a PR manager at a local company.
It was bound to happen - exactly the same thing happened with the original corporate look when the end board of the titles was changed from reading "NEWSLINE BBC NEWS" to "BBC NEWSLINE BBC Northern Ireland" after only a few months. There seems to be a bit of struggle between London who want to brand it as part of BBC News' overall output and Belfast who quite clearly want it branded as a BBC Northern Ireland programme.

That's not quite right, it was NEWSLINE with "BBC NEWS Northern Ireland" in 1999.
In 2003, this changes to BBC NEWSLINE with "BBC Northern Ireland".
Initially the editing was done in 4:3 which meant digital viewers got black bars left and right during the titles until they re-edited it.

I wish they would just have the BBC NEWS logo as the BBC NEWS NI one looks really bad, the box colour is wrong and the lettering is rough around the edges!
