Fiona has only ever been freelance at Border since the merger with Tyne Tees.

Fiona has actually been freelance since Early 2008. She didn't want to resign another contract (maybe thinking ahead).

Although Fiona still worked within Border most of the time up till the merger (as if she had been contracted). Also though, That's how during 2008 we saw more and more Helen Pearson presenting the 6pm programme.

I would love to know how the likes of Gilly Frazer is getting on in her veterinary job and what the heck Heather Larcombe or Susanna Boccaccio are up to now!

where is Helen Pearson? she has not been on GMTV bulletins for what must be 3 weeks. Julia Barthram being presenting - looking a bit nervous but overall she's done a good job

I don't know if the Border Newsroom has been seen since the Yellow Look - I noticed it has went very Yellow - couple caps below.

Looks CSO to me, the ITV Border 'blind'.
Maybe a yellow light and PSD with Lookaround graphic, not that hard to do.

Was going to say that is just a blind that says "ITV Border"! Before the yellow look there was no teal backdrop or CSO look as you say, Just the teal Lookaround Logo on the Plasma instead of yellow.

Tyne Tees has been dead now for the last five years, and it is high time its corpse was swept away.

Speaking of decaying corpses:

Anyone who isn't heartbroken by that image... obviously doesn't live in the Tyne Tees area. Razz

Triple points for spotting the magpie; one for sorrow?

I am not ashamed to admit that I shed a tear the other day when I drove past that sight. Very sad indeed.

Anyone know what is happening to the site after demolition? More student flats?! Doesn't look like the adjoining buildings are coming down (including Aerial house, which seems to be occupied anyway).

Apartments apparently.

I know the Old Tyne Tees building was a big thing - is the Gateshead really that bad? At least you have a building with studios etc still. we have a tiny cheap newsroom only now

Looks like studio 5 had been divided up into smaller sections from that picture, I was under the impression it was (until now) being used as a large meeting space? Unless that angle is misleading...

The web address DOGs are back, in line with the itv.com/news relaunch I guess. No verbal promotions though, lest they break the elaborate illusion.

Other regions have been verbally promoting today. maybe it's just us lot that haven't

EDIT: Late bulletins they have been verbally promoting! You'd think they would promote during the opt outs too!
