I noticved Tim was on Lookaround just before christmas, does he do freelance now im sure I saw him do a report for STV too

A report for STV Hardly qualifies Freelance. To answer that question though Tim is contracted to ITV Tyne Tees and Border. He done a report to STV on 1st June 2009. When Martin Moriarty drowned at the River Tweed in Kelso (A lad I knew.) Tim reported to STV as he was obviously there for TT&B too.

Meanwhile on STV (I can get it via 'other channels' on Sky) the lead story tonight came from the Borders, an STV crew did a report from St Boswells on the ongoing bad weather in the Borders, and had organised a delivery of bread and milk for the villagers there too.

Odd that STV did that story, as St Boswells is in TT&B's area.

According to Jeff Brown, Look North will be back in their new look regular studio next Friday (15th).

I thought so too. Dawn Thewlis was complaining about the heat of the temporary studio to which Jeff remarked that 'this time a week tomorrow we'll be back in our new studio.'

Does anyone else think that's a remarkably long time for a regional studio to 'relaunch'? I know Look North have one of the bigger ones but I thought some of the others got it done in 3-5 days? Is there technical/ behind-the-scenes stuff also being refurbished?

STV Have featured the Borders heavily the past few nights, (yes via the 'other channels') I Recorded lunchtime and evening bulletin from the 6th. Still got to upload last night's programme:

STV News still features the borders with big stories as it can be relevant to viewers from central Scotland.

On a different subject on tonight's TT&B Main programme in the Opt out's NET had their usual backdrop from Gateshead but Lookaround had a static shot of Carlisile (mish-mashed with the yellow colours) This must mean the Camera in Carlisle is off with the snow! They haven't been able to clear it? Laughing

The lighting on the green screen studio is awful on Trai tonight on Look North - seems to have turned her an awful yellowy-green colour Confused

Edit: Seemed to improve for the last 2-3 seconds - perhaps she was standing in the wrong place against the studio lights?
