Just watched the lunchtime bulletin with Pam Royale welcome to ITV Tyne Tees and Border news .They led with Border stories Rolling Eyes i wonder how long that will last . I must admit i do like Pam and it wasn't that bad be interesting to see tonights programme.

I assume you mean Tyne Tees (first two stories were North Eastern)? To be fair, I thought the lunchtime news was evenly mixed, perhaps favouring Tyne Tees slightly. They've got the unenviable task of trying to please everyone in a region which spans 150 miles.

Anyway, here's some caps from the GMTV and Lunchtime bulletins for you to 'enjoy'. Videos to come.

So what happened to the 'Lookaround' name? I thought that they were retaining it.

Are the evening bulletins fully split or pan-regional? (i.e. do they record one for one region and do the other live, or is there a single bulletin live to both sides?)

Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere - I've only really been thinking about the 1800 bulletin.

First 15 minutes is a North East Tonight/Lookaround split (one live, other pre-rec) with the final 15 minutes pan-regional.

So; GMTV bulletins, the lunch bulletin and weekend prorammes are called 'Tyne Tees & Border News' all pan-regional. The first 15 minutes of the 6pm programme will be called North East Tonight/Lookaround, one live and the other pre-recorded, the last 15 minutes are pan-regional, probably going to be called 'Tyne Tees & Border News'.

A minor pres note, it would look better if the text on the plasmas matched up with the dog, e.g. 'Tyne Tees &' on the first line with 'Border News' on the second. It would look better if the presenters sat on the right of the sofa, instead of on the left as the camera angle is very tight. A shame they still can't close the bulletin properly with a news sting or production slide!

On ITVLocal.com/Border Calendar News plays, but if you click on the bulletin the right one plays. Hopefully they'll update the images of Border/North East News on the buttons, as it just looks a mess. No mention of who the Tyne Tees reporters are either.

No reason why the prog name has to change midway through - could just not be referred to at all, the implication being it's all the same show.

One ironic result of this is the Tyne Tees name is on screen a lot more than it was before, as the bulletins have been branded "North East" for years and years...

The opt-out lasts 18 minutes. The new sting stayed on for a while on Tyne Tees.
