Slightly off topic but Since border merged with tyne tees we now on the Scottish side of Border don't seem to pick up the STV feeds for things such as sport (I've noticed that especially since the champions league coverage started up again this year... I dont know if that's down to the merger though or STV's campaign to go independent

Tim Backshall looked fairly strained when he had to mention the 'Tyne Tees' part of the 'Tyne tees and Border news' at the weekend

Someone mentioned along time ago about the unsmooth transtiton into GMTV Bulletins. Well for months no one has been told in Gateshead about how they could squeeze an extra 5 second on the news or weather as certinally in the border region Philippa on the weather is left smiling (or Grimacing) for about 5 seconds while they wait to cut back to GMTV

I seem to be doing a lot of moaning atm but what the hell another rant! I'm getting annoyed by the weather email address. As pip@itv.com doesn't reflect Alex Watson's duties at the weekend. Why couldn't Alex get her own? or do similar to what they do say at ITV Yorkshire as they have weatherphotos@itv.com

When you start complaining about email addresses it's time to cut back on the rants .

pip@itv.com is short, memorable and the only smidgen of individuality remaining.
