Dawn Thewlis (ex Tyne Tees) appeared on Look North last night to do the sport, presumably as Jeff Brown has been named as Carols replacement while she's on maternity.
I never really got to see Lookaround tonight, i saw the headlines with the day the British forces were leaving and it had Greg Eastdale in Iraq and they went live, Can anyone tell me where Border and Tyne Tees pan-regional at the start as i wasn't paying attention (cooking dinner etc lol) and I quickly flicked to NET and Greg Eastdale was on there 'live' is well...?!?

No separate programmes - Lookaround spent 8 minutes on Iraq with NET spending the whole of their 15 mins.

Greg was probably live on both - as they may of linked up at the same time. I wish they could stop now with this Hello Im Pam Royle....Hell im Ian Payne - yes, we know your names now!!
I don't think Greg would of been live on Lookaround as he said 'There was many soldiers that have served in the Border Region'
I don't mind Pam and Ian introducing themselves... The other regions don't do that as such they just give the headlines then the titles. I liked Pip and Kenny's style where the say 'hello... etc... These are the headlines coming up tonight...' then they go to the titles.
One thing I don't like is after the headlines some evenings the caption shows their names and other nights if Pam and Ian are at an angle they don't - they either should or they shouldnt show a caption!
I pressume NET was live then? but misleading as Ian Payne said lets go 'Live' to Greg Eastdale on Lookaround...

Let's hope they did link up. If they didn't, it *is* misleading if you know that one programme is recorded. It makes no difference to the viewer - but it's exactly the sort of careless thing which has got both ITV and the BBC into hot water in the last few years.
Helen Pearson is still around on a different note - she did todays lunchtime news. Come on lets have abit of Fee back on Border!
I Don't Think Helen is as bad as what people say 2bh.. although its good she as got rid of black pokadots every day! Bit more of Tim on bulletins and Lookaround would be good - he is like chief correspondent for Border and you hardly see him.

I think Pan regional GMTV bulletins are big jokes.. This morning you were lucky to get five things and about four of them where tyne tees things... and how can you do travel for 'one super region'?
