A quick question to Border viewers, who was the GMTV bulletins presenter before the merger?


Rota Basis with a mixture of reporters, including Gillian Frazer, Jonathan Willoughby, John Bevir Jen Humphies, and later Lee Madan then finally the return of Heather Larcombe for the last few weeks. No regular presenter.

The Carlisle Studios are still being used as tonight they crossed live to the Border Newsroom with John Bevir. I wonder when they will move to their new office.


I don't' think that's ITV Border's Carlisle Studio... It's a different smaller newsroom in Carlisle for the border region... They said on air "Lets cross to our Carlisle news room..."



Trust me it's still the Durran Hill Studios!!


Ok cool - I just simply thought it had been sold etc...


Its currently up for sale but with the current economic climate it will probably be ages hence why they can remain there.


Any ideas where there news room is that they will move to etc?

Just a quick 'off-topic' point, pakokelso, as you don't appear to have made many posts - but there really isn't any need to quote every part of a discussion when making a reply.

Forumers are more than capable of scrolling up a thread to view previous comments. Furthermore, it uses up rather alot of unnecessary screen space with quotes in ever-decreasing font size which people my age can't read! Wink

Strange as Pammy did the lunchtime edition of Border and Tyne Tees News. Still seems strange to have Kenny Toal back on Lookaround after all these years! Not seen much of your features correspondent, Fee? Crying or Very sad

The reason I asked, was I just caught the very tail end of it and the EPG said Helen and Tim were fronting it.

Yeah my EPG had TIm and Helen but EPG's are not often reliable with things like that...
