I've created a thread for ITV Tyne Tees & Border. Including North East Tonight and Lookaround discussion. The new service launched 25th February 2009.

Reading a few posts on Digital Spy and Tyne Tees presenter Kim Inglis is apparently presenting the late edition of ITV Border news, suggesting it is coming from Tyne Tees? I doubt Kim would have gone over to Carlisle..

Helen Pearson isn't presenting the main edition of Lookaround either. So she may be in Gateshead already (perhaps already presenting GMTV bulletins already?) as she has been seen reporting for NET as have many other Border reporters with only a few of Tyne Tees' reporters still appearing.

Main presenters Ian Payne or Pam Royle are presenting late bulletins this week, strangely as reporters are presenting the main programme! Though I don't think I've ever seen Pam present a late bulletin before or I can't remember.

Kim was actually over in Carlisle presenting from Border's Studio 2.

It sounds rather much like she was presenting from the Tyne Tees newsroom which is usually used for NET south.

You have a short memory - Pam presented the late bulletin regularly when the late news was broadcast from Teeside studios.

Kim has gone freelance and dont forget she has worked for Border TV in the past so probably would have been in Carlisle.

But the Tyne Tees North studio usually gets used for all bulletins but the South one is being used over the past weekdays, so I thought Kim must be in the North studio for Border News. But if not..

Does anybody know if Mark Warr will continue on the new service?

Why create a new thread when it's already being discussed in the ITV regional News thread.

No, he's just said his goodbyes during his last GMTV bulletin.

I was very surprised that Lookaround didn't do anything to mark their last programme from Carlisle before the studios close down after 48 years (unless they're planning to show something during the late bulletin).

There was just a quick mention at the end of the programme saying "Lookaround's back at 6 o'clock tomorrow with a brand new line up. Pam Royle and Ian Payne will be presenting the show. So quite a few changes, but Fiona and I and other familiar Lookaround faces will continue to bring you the stories from our region. So we hope you'll be with us too."

Westcountry had a 7 minute tribute to mark 16 years of broadcasting from their studios, and yet Border did nothing to mark 48 years of broadcasting from their studios!

Head of news Catherine Houlihan would not allow that for sure so they weren't even allowed to mention casual goodbyes to staff who had worked there for years!
