Gordon's day would involve coming in around ten in the morning (probably), checking over what's been happening in the North West on the news wires and being involved in various editorial meetings. There's bound to be a producers/directors/journalists meeting in the morning and I'm sure Gordon would be there with the rest of them - discussing what shape the lunchtime and 6.30 programmes would take.
He might have to pre-record some interviews, either in the morning or in the afternoon. Generally scripts or cues are provided by the journalists covering the story, but I'm sure Gordon is allowed to amend them to tie in with his style of delivery. He is, after all, delivering the news. He'll need to do some background research too, if NWT is carrying any live OB's or two-ways.
After the 6.30 show, there might be a brief meeting with the editor and producers to discuss how the show went. Then he'll nip off home!
