The backdrop, I'm assuming came to the end of the recording.. on NET North, when the screen went blue, and Pip apoligised for TTTV having 'Technical difficulties', this happened before the sports desk.
The wall light behind the screen, which is blue also went off, so we were left with a grey/black backdrop. No wideshot camera angle of the studio for introducing the sports, and then the weather. Plus at the end, their was no wideshot, but the two presenter shot.

I'd prefer him on NET than Jonathan Morrell. I think he's wasted talent on GMTV bulletins.
Kim Inglis was having a few problems closing the lunchtime bulletin, the pre-recorded weather with Bob wasn't playing. Kim was great covering it though! I only caught it by accident on the ITV Local site.

after the scrapping of tyne tees south it would seem extravagant (in itv terms) to retain a newsroom which, lets face it, isn't particularly far away from gateshead.
