North East Tonight and BBC Look North (NE&C) thread

I never realised that the reporter Siobhan Casey was married to the sports presenter Andy Kerr. I read this on the ITV Tyne Tees website.

Well fancy that eh?

Jonathon Morrell presented the lunchtime news, I think this is his first weekend broadcast in a while! Looks like no one else was availible.

Edward Baren presented yesterdays programmes and I find him awful presenting - he should stick to reporting!

There appeared to be some problems with the Breakfast bulletins on Look North this morning.

At 6.25, Colin "Nor'easterly" Briggs' autocue had failed, and he had to read the bulletin from his paper scripts.

Then at 6.55 and 7.25, we had Claire Frisby's bulletin from Leeds instead. I didn't see anything after that, so don't know if they managed to get everything sorted.

Next it will be saying that the North edition of NET is presented by Phillipa Tomson and Jonathon Morrell.

What do you mean, it already is...

I only managed to catch the start of the Look North programme at 6.30 and everything was fine.

we seem to be back in 1999 with the headline bed on the ten i cant remember weather they used it on the six but they have all this week on the ten why they did use the new one when it first came out why not now

this is starting to get anoying why cant the TEN use the same news headline bed as the nationals insted of the old rubish one the 1 and 6 have no probleme using it so why the ten, it seems to be wed-fri that we get the old 1 mon-tues are fine.its also sounds a shambells and dosent fit with the 2007 titles

i bet we get it tonight aswell

What's all this about then?

we are getting the old headline bed on the TEN befor the opening titles most weeknights i cant see why or what is the purpus we get the new one on the six

What old headline bed and what does TEN mean?

Sorry if it's blatently obvious to everyone else, but I'm lossed..

on some days of the week on the ten oclock news,when the main headlines are read and they have handed over to looknorths headlines the bed changes back to the old one for some reson ,it souds dredfull and it must only be one operator thast is playing it because the nice sounding new one is on the one and the six and even the ten on some nights but it dosent mach the titles and sometimes it plays over the opening titles,the point im trying to make is ,how can a gallery oporator not know that the beeb has a new headline bed i mean come on

in fact the old one is often played on fridays so turn the volume up tonight and you will know exactley what i mean (if you live in the region of corse or you could just see it on sky)
