Philippa Thomson is at Tyne Tees thanks to me.
One hot day I was watching Tyne Tees and I thought 'I want to see Philippa Thomson on there'.
So I sent them a letter threatening to bomb their Gateshead headquarters unless they put her on air.
Two weeks later and she starts presenting with Jonathan Morell.

The sports looking good these days - a real improvement on when Brian Swanson used to present it. Never thought he looked very comfortable in front of camera and rather wooden!
However the newer presenters Andy and Chris are very good and Dawn Thewlis....well, need I say more. Bloody great and gorgeous too!

Just how old is Dawn Thewlis these days?
She's been around on Tyne Tees for at least 23 years that I know of. She still looks fairly young -- can't be older than 40-45 -- so she must have joined the station at a really young age (late teens??), either that or she's a lot older than she looks!!

I agree - he's a really good listen on Century. He's funny, warm and witty and I hope he'll bring more of that to the TV. He was very good on Sky and the ITVNC - but I think he's more at home in the North East - Tyne Tees are lucky to have him.
