The Pam Royle out-take actually happened when she was at LWT! Laughing

I wasn't sure if it was TTTV, as the studio didn't look familiar.

As for the leading news story.. must be a slow news day. Its happened before.

Main story on NET (North) tonight is about a toddler who has fallen into a bath of scalding water.

Whilst this is obviously distressing for the family concerned, surely it can't be considered the main story in the north east?? Confused

AND Ian Payne in Australia for the ashes. Very little reason to have a regional news presenter sent over other than because of the tenuous link that Paul Collingwood is playing (not very well).

I think the NET budget could have been better spent elsewhere. Evil or Very Mad

I think Ian Payne has gone out there for the whole ITV Regional News group, as he was on Calendar as well

Can't tell anything from those pictures, as Studio 1 at City Road would have looked just as small with that set, but it was actually a LOT bigger than the BBC one shown above (it was the same studio that housed the like of Crosswits and Chain Letters).

But yes, those new studios in Gateshead are tiny.

Plus those 360 degree 'virtual tour' pics are highly distorted with the effect of making everything look bigger.

It's okay - we can cope with orange. We've all watched Natasha Kaplinsky often enough.
