In the schedules it had a 11:55-12:10 titled 'ITV NEWS LOOKAROUND' on the ITV EPG. I presume it was just the same Border bulletin that aired earlier in Eng? Or was it a different Scottish only bulletin?

With all the weather events, tonights Lookaround seemed much improved! The programme had alot of coverage of it all, and overall the show was much more newsy than ususal. Well done to the team.

Scarborough's seafront flooding was featured tonight on Look North NE&C - which is a tad strange, as officially they're not part of their coverage area. It was nice to see what was going on there in Filey though, in the coverage area.

Are you sure Filey is in BBC NE's patch? It's further south than Scarborough. I thought Whitby was NE, Scarborough and Filey were Yorkshire and Brid was Yorks and Lincs?

It's an unfortunate quirk of how the regions are set up really, that these areas all have a lot more in common with each other than say Scarborough has with Leeds or Whitby has with Newcastle, so sharing reports isn't that inappropriate.

Filey is definitely in NE&C's patch - the signal from Bilsdale is the strongest here. Scarborough uses the Oliver's Mount transmitter (which is Yorkshire), which is receivable in Filey, but isn't always a great signal. Hunmanby, just over a mile away from Filey, uses a relay transmitter which is Yorkshire and Freeview Light.

Well it's only viewers on the old Border Scot via Freeview that can watch the debate....

Have they split Border again? I thought there was only one version these days.

You'd of thought Sky would sort out STV opt for Border Scotland via the postcodes. Sad

No you wouldn't. The ITV region for the Border Scotland area is Border, not STV.

Yes they have, as part of the September changes... Freeview viewers in the Border Scotland had to retune to see split service (and seen the recent Scotland Tonight debate a couple of weeks ago). However Sky has not been split.

I mean (now that you know they have split Border Scotland/England on Freeview) that for future split coverage, on Sky it would go on postcode and ITV Border Scotland viewers on freeview could get the Scottish opt out programming. Not STV the channel, the STV programming that Border now opts out on freeview.

Apart from referendum specials, ITV Border aren't taking any STV programming a regular basis at the moment are they? According to the freeview tv guide Border Scotland still gets Around the House tomorrow night. No sign of any STV shows airing on Border Scotland in the next 48 hours at least

I think the plan for the extra coverage (in full) is from January. Still no idea if it's going to be Border produced or Scotland Tonight.

I have to say a near award winning programme on Lookaround last night. Such a poignant 30 minutes with the Lockerbie bombing. Some top reporting from Tim Backshall and VT from Hannah Lomas. Maybe only wee thing being it looked like it was the pre-recorded programme (Tyne Tees live). However it was a superb balance on the story.

Quite a weird cut their to the live programme on Lookaround Border. Pam said "Still to come on ITV News Lookaround" and was about to begin when it cut to the live edition, where she said again "Still to come on ITV News Lookaround". Their was a sudden change of pattern on the TV's aswell.

Quite a odd start to Lookaround this evening... It was the pre-recorded opt and after the titles/headlines Pam was about to start speaking the opening link before she stops (autocue prob or something). You get her and Ian Payne talking to the gallery for 10-15 seconds before a blank pre-rec caption... http://pic.twitter.com/ErpycTRMQA

After about a minute the programme appeared again with the right tape in and it was halfway through the first story!

Also tonight both Lookaround and North East Tonight had a pan-close with Ross going over the red warning and pictures (without giving placenames).
