Scarborough (Olivers Mount) is a relay of Emley Moor (Calendar/Look North Leeds), although I understand Blisdale can be received. Malton I think comes from Bilsdale (Tyne Tees).
So Tyne Tees covers at least part of North Yorkshire then. And although ITV4 cover the event well a shame that ITV don't take the option to earn some local kudos and put some coverage (outside of news) on in the main channel in the region - perhaps the nightly highlights and the end of the race on Sunday.

In terms of coverage, Malton can pick up Emley Moor, Olivers Mount and Bilsdale more or less equally. I suspect most people in the town choose Yorkshire.
I've never quite understood why Filey, further down the coast than Scarborough, shows on earlier coverage maps as Bilsdale's patch - in reality, I suspect viewers there could get a decent picture from Emley (via Oliver's Mount) or Belmont (via a relay). I'm not sure if Tyne Tees News were in the habit of covering stories from that area.

Because that's where you can get the best signal; it's also where virtually every aerial in the town points to. Filey pretty much permanently featured as a tide time in Bob Johnson's weather forecasts.
There was a live from Jonny Blair last night on TTTV from the Teesside Newsroom. This came as a surprise as I didn't think they no longer had a Teesside base following the departure from Belasis in Billingham. Anyone know where this newsroom actually is these days please?
Seemed to be some sort of issue on GMB opts this morning, the 6am hour local opt appeared to be pan regional, across Border and Tyne Tees. Rachel Sweeney just said "GMB headlines" rather than "GMB headlines from Tyne Tees" with a simple GMB title card on the screen with no region name. The bulletin led with a Scottish Borders story, then three Tyne Tees area stories but the backdrop 'window' you could clearly see the Sage Gateshead. Weather for TT followed. 7am was fine with as usual TT bulletin but odd that we seen a pan regional bulletin for first time in years
