see, NBC have an agreement with ITV/ITN and vice versa so they can show each others reports. by the sounds of this, Nina must of done a report for ITV which was broadcast on NBC Nightly News

Mary Nightingale was announcing the nominations for the Tio Pepe Evening Standard ITV London Restaurant Awards today, so presumably it's not long till she returns to the Evening News.
If it's true that Katie Derham is pregnant, do we reckon that Nina might cover for her on London Tonight and the new Lunchtime News?

That would be odd, Nina (ex-BBC London News) Hossain presenting London Tonight.
I think there will be some shake up when Sir Trevor leaves later this year, some presenters are likely to get moved around really, plus it also depends how long Katie is in to with her pregnancy, as she could be there for another few months yet.

I'd prefer Nina to stay with ITV news. I don't think that highly of Mary's style of presentation and mannerisms. I hope there is somewhere ITV can fit Nina into their team for the future.

I would not be suprised if Nina was the permanent alternative presenter for the Evening News, presenting it at least once or twice a week. Also if Nina was to take over Katie's role on the Lunchtime News while she is on maternity leave, i would also not be suprised if Katie went Part time when she came back, so she might be the permanent alternative presenter for the Lunchtime News as well. Also who is going to present the ITV Late Evening News on a Friday night when Katie goes to the Lunchtime News, could Nina do this bulletin as well, she does well presenting on her own. I can see plenty of roles that Nina could fill when Mary comes back within ITV News, and would not expect to see her return to presenting in London only.

I think Mark ( if he's the choice ) would do the programme 5 nights a week. Trevor likes his days off during the week ( Well at least from presenting. Actually, does anyone know if the days that Trevor does not present, does he actually still come in, just to work in the newsroom ? )
