To be fare that would have been the most important bulletin she has ever done and yesterday would probably have been the first chance she's ever had to even reherse for the 10:30. she only really slipped up at the very end apart from that i thought she was great.

Sorry to be critical, but Nina is awful. She couldn't pronounce "Shropshire" on the 2230 bulletin last night, she talked over the end of the "in other news" sequence and started over again when linking into the local news - and it looks like she chews the top of the lid of her Biro as well

Star Spell
BBC ONE - 03-Jan-2005
Jo Brand taking the p*** out of Nina something rotten.. Talking back to Nina - said "You've done well for yourself since BBC London"
Nina 'pronounces' the words to be spelled in this programme.
Embarrassed or not

I think this may have come back to haunt them judging by Dicks performance on the Starspell show tonight.

OT, a bit, but on the topic of Nina, they had a mokc up of HardSpell on Dick & Dom this morning and they hada giant cardboard head of Nina, and at the end, it started to eat "Eammon Holmes"

but i do think that tonights words for dick were too hard, while others had it a bit easier. like the 1st word for them all had something to do with their job, Dick didnt! i think!
Jo was so funny! but mabey it is pay-back time, but that isnt excatly Dick (and Dom's) fault.
great telly, IMO

There is certainly some truth in that. I think Penny got 'newsreader' for her first word while Dick got something much trickier (I didn't even know what the word meant if I remember rightly).
Jo "Nina, You're a bit of a dominatrix" Brand was funny.

Yeah, Nina said everything as if they were two year olds, when Jo asked her 'Where do you get your hair done?" or something like that, Nina just said "Answer the question Jo, ??????" whatever the word was. Funny when she said the spelling wrong on one of Dick's questions...
Jeremy got Correspondant as his first word...

She got one of the other peoples' words spellings wrong, missed out an O on extraeonous (whatever that means). I liked jo's "can i have a three letter word nina?"

but the quotes got slightly messed up.
