I can't understand why everyone is showing such support for this guy - I find him one of the most annoying presenters i've seen in a long time!

He seems like a nice guy, but he completely over-pronounces everything he says, and looks stupid in the process.

He was overdoing the hand-gestures far too much. Normally, a hand gesture is to compliment or emphasise a word, but his hands were flapping all over the place as though someone had said "Make sure you use hand gestures!!!". His public-speaking training was obviously much inferior to mine... Rolling Eyes

Give him a break, he is a children's presenter after all, he's not meant to be Jeremy Paxman!

Yeah, Even John Craven, Roger Finn, Kristian Guru Murphy, Chris Rogers and Matthew Price were squeaky clean guys.

Also, They should re-name the programmes 'Ellie Criswell's Newsround' just like the days of John Craven with a presenter's name on the title since she's there most of the time

Certainly not. Newsround is bigger than any of its presenters. If it wasn't then it would have stopped when John Craven left. If memory serves me correctly, the billing "john craven's newsround" was dropped some years before he left, so even then it had a life of its own. as a rule, anything with someone's name in the title is best avoided, such as john carpenter's later films.
