Newsround's Lizo on BBC Election programme

Wasn't it strange to see Lizo Mzimba reporting from one of the areas. I think he looks really smart with a suit on rather than t-shirts and denims he wears on Newsround.

I think he's easily the best newsround presenter since john craven, yet he's always playing second fiddle to ellie criswell, and to becky jago before that. why hasnt he been made the main presenter by now?

My fav Kiddies News Presenter at the moment has to be Owain Evans who presents "Ffeil", the welsh equivalent to Newsround on S4C. He's got so much energy & enthusiasm.

I'm surprised Lizo hasn't been promoted up yet. I remember Matthew Price didn't spend too long before being promoted to a correspondent.

Yeah he seems to have been around on Newsround for some time now. Of course, he doesn't necessarily have to move up to 'senior' news, but I can't remember people like Juliet Morris, Julie Etchingham and Chris Rogers staying on Newsround for so long.

I think he should stay at newsround he really suits it. I thought though I saw him have a producer credit on a few programmes once, could that explain his long tenure? Matthew Price has done really well since leaving newsround, though his reporting style has hardly changed.

I can't understand why everyone is showing such support for this guy - I find him one of the most annoying presenters i've seen in a long time!

He seems like a nice guy, but he completely over-pronounces everything he says, and looks stupid in the process.

Perhaps I'm getting old but he looks like he is about 12.

Off topic, but whatever happened to Juliet Morris? Last I recall seeing her was on The Heaven and Earth Show on BBC1.

She's a newsreader on Radio Five Live, IIRC
