I notice an investigation Newsround did about product placement on YouTube videos made it into the *proper* news as well yesterday, featuring on both Breakfast and then Radio 1 Newsbeat - I suppose that's a good measure of the kind of content they're producing if it makes it into mainstream news as well.

It was also on the 1 O' Clock News as well I believe.

Some of the earlier reports only stated that a "BBC journalist" had complained, only became clearer which department later on.
(Incidentally I do think that product placement on online video is a bit of a loophole when compared to TV but that's a completely different thread)

They're not that Christmassy. All they've added are snowflakes. And the only Christmas thing in the studio is the presenter's jumper.
At least it's not like The One Show, who overdid the decorations in my opinion.

Has anyone been watching Newsround on a weekend?
The camera never moves position and they seem to just have one camera.
The show does have a small team so having a cameraman would not be possible, but couldn't they remotely control the camera?

As discussed across the forum, different cameras are in use in different studios across the country. Some are on tracks, some are on pedestals, some are on cranes, some are strapped to a human, as already discussed . Some have remote heads on them, which allow them to pan and tilt and be controlled from the gallery , again, already discussed . Some can also elevate remotely , again, also discussed.
If you took the time to look, you'd find the answers you were looking for.

But what would the cost of buying and installing a robotic head for this camera at Newsround be?
