It's been said the Online version get about million views? and 4pm goes out to no one, which is rather worrying as does that mean the invision presenters are also getting no one??

I seem to recall, BBC 2 started to relay CNN's output for an hour or so from about 17:30 hrs ?

Edit:

Interestingly Peter Snow says at the start of that clip that it happened 'about 25 minutes ago'. Challenger exploded at 16:38 GMT so it seems like the Newsnight Special was on air at about the same time as Newsround, which was on at 17:00

They got to air very quickly, from obviously a standing start. Quicker than the News Channel going live when Amber Rudd resigned a few months ago.

How long after the Challenger disaster was it that they started to put a CBBC ident in before Newsround to soften the gear change?

(And did somebody get the timings into Newsround wrong? That cue dot seemed a bit late)

The 1991 revamp introduced the ident at that point, though at the 1994 revamp it was back to a straight handover from the CBBC presenter (probably because it was at that point you'd get an ident at some point in every junction anyway).

Do you mean in 1991 the ident come in? of did you mean the Sept 1990 Revamp which the space station look.

I mean the CBBC revamp, not Newsround.
