Hi all..first post on here.

Just wondering if anyone knows what happened to all the old NSE presenters from the 1990's.....I know that Tim Ewart is with ITN, Gwenan does some News 24 stuff (I think) and Rob Curling is on SKY, what what about some others such as...

Gargy Patel
Jacqui Harper
Richard Phillips
Steve May
Beverley Webb
Deborah Hall
Steve Clark (or was he in the days of LP)

Also am I right in thinking that Guy Michelmore is now a full time composer and Louise Bachelor is a BBC Scotland reporter?

Jacqui Harper is Managing Director of a communications consultancy, Crystal Business Training. Deborah Hall does some work for the company, too.

She has also authored a book "Voices of Experience", giving tips on how to make good presentations.

I think that may have been in the final months of Newsroom South East when it had moved out of Elstree and into Marylebone High Street (and went single-headed) before rebranding as BBC London (once Oxford and Tunbridge Wells had split off)

Yep - Guy Michelmore composed the original Newsroom South East music. He went on to compose a large number of BBC regional news themes (including Spotlight and Look East) in the days before the corporate music roll-out.

Louise Bachelor was an 80's anchor on BBC Scotland's Reporting Scotland and a fill-in for Mary Marquis and Malcolm Wilson from time to time, as well as a general reporter. She became the main presenter of the ill-fated Scotland Sixty Minutes, and continued to present the revived Reporting Scotland after Sixty Minutes' demise.

Louise worked on-screen primarily alongside John Milne (now of Newsnight Scotland), Viv Lumsden and Alan Douglas.

She left and joined Newsroom South East, where she remained for many years. Upon returning to Scotland around 7 years ago, she took up the role of Environment Correspondent for BBC Scotland. AFAIK, she has never returned to news presenting and is always seen on outdoor reports.

Mike Embley is one of the consistently good people on BBC World. He is excellent. He and Gwennan Edwards could be seen filling in on World in the nineties, whilst still keeping up their roles on NSE and before moving to BBC N24.

Don't know about any of the others you have listed. Sorry.

She was with NSE for a while before the move and relaunch

So is he the one who composed the second Spotlight lighthouse score?

She presented the last ever edition of Newsroom South East.
