NOTE: This is based on opinion, not fact.
Obviously all newsreaders are completly "neutral" and have no political opinion of their own
but with a general election coming up, which political party would you automatically associate newsreaders with - just from what you see of them on screen.
For example, Huw Edwards I automatically associate with Labour while Jon Snow I link to the Lib Dems.
And as Natasha Kaplinsky generally comes across as not having a clue what she's talking about and jumping on the latest bandwagon, obviously she's a Tory!
I'd be interested to read who you associate with which parties!
P.S. In addition if the cabinet was formed from newsreaders (and correspondants) who would get which post.
The main posts include Primeminister, Deputy PM, Chancellor, Foreign Secretary, Home Secretary, Health, Education, Defence and Culture.
